Dull, uneven skin tone and rough texture are often the result of accumulated dead cells on the skin's surface. Our AHA Exfoliating Cream addresses this directly with glycolic acid — the gold standard among alpha hydroxy acids — to dissolve the bonds between dead cells and reveal the fresher, more luminous skin beneath. The result is a smoother, more refined complexion after consistent use.
Glycolic acid, the smallest AHA molecule, penetrates the outermost layer of the epidermis more effectively than larger acid molecules. In this formulation it does not work alone: malic, tartaric, citric, lactic and gluconic acid stand beside it, together with retinyl palmitate and salicylic acid. This exfoliating cream for face reduces the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, softens fine lines and clears congested pores. Sodium hyaluronate counterbalances the dryness that can accompany chemical exfoliation.
This glycolic acid cream is formulated for oily, combination, and blemish-prone skin types that benefit from controlled chemical exfoliation. It is not intended for sensitive skin: the formulation contains parfum and declarable fragrance allergens. By smoothing the skin's surface, it improves the absorption of serums and moisturisers applied afterward.
For optimal results, this face exfoliator cream belongs in your evening routine — one to three applications per week, increased gradually. Because AHA increases photosensitivity, consistent daily broad-spectrum sun protection is essential. Dermatologically tested and developed in Austria, this formulation reflects years of professional skincare expertise. It was nominated at the Beauty Stars Awards 2026.
Glycolic Acid
a small-molecule alpha hydroxy acid that dissolves dead cell buildup, accelerates epidermal turnover, and promotes a smoother, more even complexion. Sodium Hyaluronate — a low-molecular-weight form of hyaluronic acid that penetrates deeply to bind moisture within the skin, counteracting potential dryness from exfoliation
Apply a thin, even layer to cleansed skin in the evening, two to three times per week.
Allow the cream to absorb fully before following with your usual moisturiser.
Gradually increase frequency as your skin builds tolerance.
Avoid direct contact with the eye area and broken skin.
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) is mandatory when using this product, as AHA increases the skin's sensitivity to UV radiation.

An exfoliant that stays on overnight
Dead cells build up on the surface and the complexion turns dull and uneven. This cream dissolves the bonds that hold them — no grains, no scrubbing. It goes on in the evening and stays there instead of being wiped off.
Six fruit acids, not one
Glycolic acid is the smallest AHA molecule and the main active. Alongside it the formula holds malic, tartaric, citric, lactic and gluconic acid. Real Skin Art never states a percentage — and we are not inventing one.
Pigmentation, pores, texture
The maker names three jobs: lift dead cells off the surface, fade pigment spots, leave the skin smooth and even. It also clears congested pores. It is built for blemish-prone, oily and combination skin — dry skin is not in the skin-type list.
Hyaluronic acid for the dryness after
Chemical exfoliation can dry the skin out. That is why sodium hyaluronate sits in the same formula: the low-molecular-weight form of hyaluronic acid, binding moisture while the renewal runs.
Apply at night, sun protection by day
The instruction from the house is short: apply in the evening and be sure to use sunscreen during the day. AHA increases the skin sensitivity to UV. Without broad-spectrum protection in the morning the cream works against itself.

About UsGood to know
- How often per week?
- Start with one or two evenings a week, then increase as long as the skin stays calm. Real Skin Art itself names one to three applications per week. A thin, even layer on cleansed skin, let it absorb, then your usual moisturiser.
- Can I combine it with my retinol serum?
- Not on the same evening. The INCI of this cream already lists retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative, plus salicylic acid. Adding a retinol serum on top stacks two renewal triggers. Alternate the evenings.
- Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
- No. The skin-type list names blemish-prone, combination and oily skin — not sensitive. The formula contains parfum and ten declarable fragrance allergens, among them linalool, limonene, geraniol and coumarin. If you react to those, a fragrance-free product is the better choice.
- What can it not do?
- It is not a medicine and does not replace medically treated acne. Do not apply it to broken or irritated skin, and not around the eyes. If redness persists, stop using it.
